Wang Xiang
Wang Xiang (185–269), courtesy name Xiuzheng (休徵), was a minister of the state of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. Wang served as a Grand Commandant during his time. He and other officials saw Deng Ai and Zhong Hui off when they led the Cao Wei army to conquer the rival state of Shu Han. Wang later encouraged Sima Zhao to select his oldest son, Sima Yan, as his heir, to prevent Sima Zhao's sons from fighting among each other for the succession. Wang was known as one of The Twenty-four Filial Exemplars for his act of filial piety to his stepmother, trying to catch carp in a frozen river by lying on it naked. ==See also==
